There were only a few small gulls at Oshawa Second Marsh at 3pm today,
Thursday, April 16, but 8 of them were Little Gulls, almost outnumbering the
Boneys! They were flying round the marsh, perching on logs in the water,
then flying up again, giving their high kek-kek calls. Presumably there were
more out on the lake where most of the Boneys were.
Directions:
Leave Hwy.401 at Harmony Road Exit 419 and go south on Farewell Street to
the traffic lights at Colonel Sam Drive. Turn left, east, here and drive to
the General Motors building, parking at the bottom of the first carpark on
the right, to walk down to the viewing platform beside the marsh.
