At 1:00 pm today there were three White-fronted Geese sitting on a small island in the middle of the pit.
To get there, go west on Highway 89 from Alliston. At the 4th concession turn right (north). Drive to the next intersection. Turn left (west) onto the 5th sideroad. The pit is on the right. Other abandoned pits in the area have also had lots of waterfowl recently. Good Birding!
