Have thought using L3/L4 high performance switches? You can program your routes and ACL to restrict access to your Asterisk server.
The good ones are a bit expansive, but they're the only one who can do the job under high traffic volume. Allied Telesis has a good switch for this application: AT-x900-12XT/S. http://www.alliedtelesis.com/products/detail.aspx?pid=595&lid=19 Expect to pay about $1,600 to $1,700 for this unit.
