[Blackbelly] TravelWithRonK's PremierLimo service is 'on the road' !!

2010-06-18 Thread Ron Keener

hello everyone!

BOER breeders - see the special announcement below

**Biosecurity concerns
**Valuable animals to move
**Animals needing special handling
**Short timeframe transport needed

TravelWithRonK's PremierLimo service is your answer!

Using either of my tow vehicles and either my 14x5 trailer
or my 20x6 double deck trailer TravelWithRonK can provide
that specialized transport that you desire for one animal
or a large load - starting from my Texas base I will
go to your pick up site, pick up the animal(s), transport
them in minimal time to your drop off site, and then
return to my base

to see pictures of the TravelWithRonK 'bus' and 'limo' options go to:

http://www.JackMauldin.com/

- go to the 'Our Articles' section and click on 'Transporting' (thanks
Jack!) - while on Jack's site be sure to see the gorgeous animals on the
'Enoblements' page - those are the 'best of the best' of the Boer breed!

the very first ever PremierLimo transport trip was completed June 3rd -
9400 miles were driven at an average of 54.5 mph - the 'limo' concept
lived up to my vision for the service:

west TX to east GA - 2 day delivery
west NC to southwest OR - 5 day delivery
west AZ to east KY - 4 day delivery

A comment about PremierLimo fees - when you compare a bus ride fee
to a taxicab fee there is a significant difference - the same
applies to PremierLimo fees - bus service depends upon a large
number of riders contributing a smaller amount each toward the
total cost of transport service - limo service depends upon one
or a very limited number of riders paying the total transport fee
- the same applies to PremierLimo - PremierLimo fees will be
considerably more than bus fees but when your circumstances
warrant the expense then PremierLimo will provide the service

I always need pick up city/state, drop off city/state, and
a brief description of the animals in each email - I do not
monitor the groups closely so please reply to my home
email address rkee...@realtime. net

attention BOER breeders - the Fern Hollow dispersal sale is June 26th -
I have been asked to provide coast to coast transport for animals from
the sale - following the sale I will go to Corydon IN with either the
small or large trailer as needed and will pick up animals needing
transport - I have initiated a special promotion offer for this sale -
see below:

TravelWithRonK PremierLimo is pleased to offer the following special
promotion to help you get your new animal(s) to their new home - to get
your animal(s) from Indiana to their new home I will charge my standard
'limo' fee - this fee is typically 50% higher (but may be more depending
upon circumstances) than my 'bus' fees

but...

upon your payment of the limo fee upon delivery of the sale animal(s) I
will give you TravelWithRonK $100 Gift Certificates equal to the
difference between the Limo fee that I charge you and my normal 'bus'
fee to transport the first animal over the same IN to ?? route - these
Gift Certificates can be used in the future to transport animals on my
regularly scheduled bus trips either to or from your location - that
means you can use them one at a time when you purchase new animals in
the future or you can use them as a sales incentive one per customer
when you sell animals in the future - you have two years from the date
of the Fern Hollow sale to use them before they expire

so not only are you getting a great animal from the sale but you are
continuing to save for two years into the future!

please send me an email at rkee...@realtime.net if you are considering
bidding on this sale and would be interested in transportation being
provided by PremierLimo - please provide your destination city/state and
phone numbers

I cannot know a possible route until after the sale when I know for sure
how many animals are needing transport and to where - therefore it will
be imperative that you join my Yahoo group so that I can update you from
the road after I am loaded and on the move

Hi everyone,

I am also new here. I have been working towards my dream of a small farm
it seems like forever. We started on 1/2 acre with our stockdogs and for
training them we used Indian Runners. But I really wanted the sheep and
land:)

So last Dec. 31 we bought our 10 acre farmstead. I saw ABBs a couple of
years ago and did a lot of research and they have always been up my ally.
We are in the process of putting up 5 strand electric for our outer fence
line. Plus field fencing on the training fields. We will have 150 x 150
training pasture, 150 x 300 training pasture, a round pen, and 350
pasture where we can practice blind outruns.

We plan on improving the pasture and using rotational grazing. We are
adding pygmy goats this year and will be having welsh harlequin ducking
next year, plust hopfully I will be able to add the ABBs next year.

Boy did one demo I saw when I was 13 years old really started a whole new
life:) Border Collies, ABBs, Pygmy goats, and welsh harlequins.

Have a great day everyone and thank you for the wonderful information you
post.

Are there any ABB breeders in MN, SD, WI, or IA?

[Blackbelly] Fencing

2010-06-18 Thread Tashia Lund
I was planning on running 6, 6, 6, 8, 8, - every other hot and the other
grounded. Plus a ground on every side and 3 grounds by the charger. The
charger we are buying is the 50 mile low impedience. So 50 miles for 5 miles
of fencing. I was told the shock would knock a 6 foot man off his feet. It is
way more charge than we need for sheep and goats, but I can't afford the 100
mile:) We have to run field fencing on the inside of the property since the
shock would knock our BCs and 2 year old out cold.

Our stock dogs are used to working ABBs and ABB x woolies, since we have been
helping my friend with her sheep for about 6 years now.

Thank you for your ideas and talk to you all later.
