Re: [Blackbelly] More ram lambs than ewe lambs

2010-08-05 Thread Rexesandroses
Hi,

I'm in western Washington state. This year with 5 ewes, we got 11 lambs,
& 10 were ewe lambs! But then, we've had 3 daughters, no sons, 3
granddaughters, & no grandsons. It might just be the water.;-)

Hi Curtis,
I am from Central TX. Sold out of sheep but had twice as many billy kids as
nanny kids and only 80% of my calf crop were bull calves. In 2009 it was
almost opposite.

I'm in southwest Texas and had about two ewe lambs compared to the 10 plus
ram lambs this past winter. I just figured that my ram was throwing more y
chromosomes than x. Interesting idea about the drought...got me kinda
curious.
