I went to the website and all I found was the 2007 version, and I know the pacmate don't work with that one. so, who ever has this information, I sure would appreciate it. thanks, Carliss Visit the Blind Computing List home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/blind-computing@jaws-users.com/ To post to this group, send email to blind-computing@jaws-users.com To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Use the following form in order to contact the management team http://www.blind-computing.com/contact.php If you wish to join the JAWS Users List send a blank email to the following address: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Ah, this is the information bar. When you hear that blip noise, press alt n, followed by space. This will bring the information bar into focus and activate a menu respectively. Choose download this file, or similar, and press tner. Now you should be good to go. Hope that helps. Chris Hallsworth Why not join my Blind Hobbyist mailing list! [Blind-Computing] New to Victor Reader. Awful speach?
Hi. I just signed up with Bookshare.org and have downloaded and installed Victor Reader. I'm trying to read up on how it works in the Victor Reader help menu, but it's slow going. I'm not able to use JAWS, or supposed to, it seems. It appears to read everything with the Microsoft installed voice, the one that sounds so terrible. Is that the voice all the books will be read with? I'm afraid that the getting started reference isn't helping much either. Any clarification on this since it's so new to me would sure be appreciated. I thought that Victor Reader would come with its own voice or something, or at least use eloquence. NOTE: I'm using JAWS 7.0, Windows XP, and Victor Reader 2.0. Chris Feist - The one and only! Re: [Blind-Computing] Accessible Bible
Hi Chris, www.biblegateway.com is a good site. There are many translations of the Bible on there, and there are also several audio translations. Also there is another one I use a lot called www.onlineword.com I think. Or it might be www.theonlineword.com I'm not sure. On both sites there are extra things like links referring to other verses which connect with the verse you are reading, and Bible Gateway has commentaries. There is a lot about that site I haven't used yet. There is another neat site regarding hymns which actually plays the tunes or even several tunes that a hymn is written in, and which gives you the history of many hymns. It also gives the words. www.cyberhymnal.com is that site. If you want to reach me by phone and leave a detailed voicemail message call 773-572-6206 and hit pound as soon as you hear my voice.
