Re: [Blind-Computing] CD Burning Problem
Hi Victor, Do you know if any of the players are set to shuffle, or random play mode? Richard Justice www.blind-computing.com - Original Message - From: Victor Gouveia To: blind-computing@jaws-users.com Sent: Tuesday, August 14, 2007 9:32 PM Subject: [Blind-Computing] CD Burning Problem Hi All, I have a particular problem that is happening with some CD's that I burned for a friend of mine. It is an MP3 CD with various tracks on it, an audio book, to be exact, and when I burn the book onto CD for her, and she goes to play it on her mainstream CD/MP3 player, it plays out of order. Does anyone know why this could be. When I look at the files on my computer, everything appears to be in order. I have tried to burn, both, a data CD and an MP3 CD, using Roxio 5, on a system with 1.83 gigs of processor speed, 1 gig of ram, XP Home, on a laptop, with a DVD burner. As I said, there have been no problems on my end, as my players all play the CD's after I've burned them, and the tracks are in order, but as soon as she plays them, the tracks are out of order. She has taken it to a friend's house, and tried it there, and the same thing happened. I'm thinking that the players may be old, and are probably at the end of their existence, as both these players are about 2, maybe three years-old. Is this a plausible explanation to you all, or am I grasping at straws? I would rather find out now, as the laptop is still under factory warranty, so the earlier I diagnose this problem, the better. Is this a hardware problem I'm looking at, a software problem, or a user problem. Thanks in advance for any answers.
