[Blind-Computing] Tutorial for AVG Re: AVG found 2 Threts when ScanningwhatshouldIdo?
There seems to be a copy of the AVG manual at: http://www.jaws-users.com/JAWS/text/ I could swear I saw a reference to an audio tutorial on AVG on either the jaws-users page or the blind-computing one, but, like an idiot, I didn't bookmark it and can't find it again. I wanted to listen to it when things are more back to normal with my computer. I'd appreciate the URL if anyone finds it. Hmm, I think it's the default setting to scan your computer automatically daily, as well as check for and install any updates found actually. So I doubt someone's set it up for you, unless they've changed, for example, when to start the scan. - Original Message - From: Kerby Hill [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: blind-computing@jaws-users.com Sent: Thursday, August 30, 2007 12:13 AM Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] AVG You can also set your computer to automatically avg each day. Carlis, just press enter on the continue button. Don't worry, just ignore it. It's just telling you that you're about to install an out-of-date copy, but because it's going to be updating anyway you might as well just ignore it and carry on with the installation. Hi Annette, I finally figured out how to create the labels for printing from the word document. I did have the addresses in a column and as I went through each step in the mail merge , I got to a point where I was totally confused. With office 2003, when I got to arrange the labels, I had to enter to more option and hit enter on the insert button and then close that dialog. Afterwards, i hit enter on the update button and all the addresses were added to the document in the type of labels that I was using. I had to keep playing around with this until I got it to work. I thought that you might like to know this. Thanks for your help. Lennie At 10:12 PM 8/29/2007, you wrote: It has been a long time since I've done a mail merge. I think I was using Office xp or 2000. If I remember correctly, when you are setting up the labels, you have to identify the fields you want to appear on the labels. These fields correspond to the columns of the table where you have the address data stored. I am assuming that you have your data arranged in columns. Hi, Avast can be made JAWS friendly. I've done it, so I know it can be done. All you have to do is go into Avast's settings and turn off something that says something like Use Skins or something similar to that. Once that is done, Avast works great with JAWS.
