[Blind-Computing] ADJUSTING WINDOWS VISTA FOR BEST USE
Hi everyone: Recently, HP fixed my laptop but in the process, they fixed me but good. I now have Vista instead of my good old reliable Windows XP Professional. I'm trying to get through it but it's driving me a bit crazy. Can someone help me with a list of settings that would, hopefully, make Vista more like XP? I remember a very nice list of adjustments someone put out for the XP system and I made those changes with great success. What can I do, to put it simply, to make Vista more blind friendly? Re: [Blind-Computing] mp3 player
I looked for the podcast, but couldn't find it. Would you answer a couple of questions for me? Do I have to go through itunes in order to load it or can I just copy and paste from my music folder? My husband is sighted, but he couldn't seem to figure anything out. - Original Message - From: "Lino and Louie" To: Sent: Friday, January 29, 2010 11:31 AM Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] mp3 player Candy, The iPod Nano is very accessible. Re: [Blind-Computing] Installing USB to Parallel portadapterquestions
Mark: You will need to install the Windows driver for the embosser before you can use it. The sound that you hear when you plug in the parallel adapter is that of Windows recognizing the adapter only. Once the embosser driver is installed, you may need to go into the embosser properties, under the ports tab and select the USB to parallel adapter as the active port for the embosser. Once the embosser driver is properly loaded, it will show up as a printer choice within your applications software. Re: [Blind-Computing] SATOGO
I just answered my own question? Lol. So what about the file that it asks to install, then? So, I would go to the website, click on begin, save the file, run the file and be good to go? Now lets hope I don't answer my own next question but is it free and is there a paid version? -Original Message- From: blind-computing-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:blind-computing-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Lino and Louie Sent: Friday, January 29, 2010 9:22 AM To: blind-computing@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] SATOGO Dude there isn't much to it. you pretty much answered your own question.
