[Blind-Computing] Jaws reading 'Clickable'
Hi All: Can anybody on the list explain at what circumstances Jaws reads, 'Clickable' when the Jaws table navigation keys, Ctrl + Alt + arrow keys are used and what users are supposed to do. I would also like to know if we hear similar words with other screen readers and what they mean to users. Thanks and regards, Silpa. [Blind-Computing] Headset recommendation?
I am looking for a recommendation for a decent headset. I bought a cheaper Phillips one a while back but the left ear speaker gets distorted lately, having to tap it to get it to stop, and when Skyping and working at the same time , my buddy down the street has gotten pretty good at understanding Jaws these days haha. Evidently the mic is good enough to pick up the headphone. It is not picking up Jaws directly, just overhearing the headphones. I'd like something that is more enclosed, maybe something that doesn't have the elastic foam covers that invariably and continually fall off. and has a decent quality. USB would be OK. The one I have now hooks to my sound card's mic and speaker inputs with 3.5mm jacks. Money is an object, but so is rebuying later, so I'm looking for a decent set. Thanks in advance and won't clutter list with each reply/response unless you have a question. Brad Dunse Logic will get you from A to B. [Blind-Computing] Getting Open Book or Kurzweil to recognize a new scanner
Good evening everyone. I need some help. I have a new Cannon Cano scan LIDE700F scanner, a replacement for an old, broken one. I've installed all the correct drivers and software, connected the scanner, but none of my scanning software will use it. It acts like I have no scanner connected, though I can use the scanner outside of those programs, i.e. to make a copy or image file. Can someone guide me on how to get Open Book and Kurzweil to recognize and use the new scanner? I am needing to scan some course work. With warm thanks from frigid Minnesota, Melissa P.S. I am using Open Book 8, Kurzweil 12, on Windows 7 64 bit, with JAWS 12.
