[Blind-Computing] Firefox and web visum problem

2011-08-07 Thread Milos Przic
   Hi all,
I was using Mozilla Firefox 3.6.18, and was having a problem. From time to
time firefox was blocking when openning webpages, and I had to wait for a
minute or two for it to unblock and open a page. Because of that I downgradet
to the version 3.0.16. The problem doesn't appear anymore but webvisum doesn't
work. It is installed, all the options are available, but I don't get messages
that I am logged in nor I can solve captias. What to do to make it work?
thanks to all in advance, and best regards!

Re: [Blind-Computing] ympus Sonority Software

2011-08-07 Thread shparker

Lenny,

Sonority is useable, though access could stand to be improved. My take on
it is that what it can do for your Olympus recorder is worth figuring out
the access issues you may have with it.

Hope this helps.

Hello there;

I forgot to mention, if you want to re-build your run dialog history, you'll
need to go back and re-check the box,
Store and display recently opened programs in the Start menu

Hello give this a try;

To quickly access the Run window, you can add the Run command to the Start
menu:
1. Right-click the Start button and select Properties
2. Open the Start menu tab and click the Customize button
3. In the Customize Start menu window, from the list of options select 'Run
command' and click OK.

If the Run command is added to the Start menu, just open the Start menu,
select Run and type a program of file name or location.

Where is the Windows Run history stored?
Windows Run history is stored in the registry in location:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\RunMRU.
To protect your privacy, you should clear run history

Clear Run history manually
To clear the Run history manually:
1. Open the 'Taskbar and Start Menu Properties' window. You can do it in two
ways:
Right-click the Start button and select Properties
Or you can open the Start menu, select Control Panel, click Appearance and
Personalization, and then click Taskbar and Start Menu

2. Open the Start menu tab and in the Privacy area uncheck the 'Store and
display recently opened programs in the Start menu' option. If you need to
clear
recently opened files, uncheck 'Store and display recently opened items in
the Start menu and the taskbar'

so to clear the run dialog history, you uncheck the box which reads;
Store and display recently opened programs in the Start menu

Hope this helps.

Re: [Blind-Computing] The Run dialogue in Windows 7

2011-08-07 Thread kimsan
Rick:
Here's what I found off of google. If it is not what you are looking for, I
appologise.

Edit Through the Registry

The Run history is stored in the registry, RunMRU. In order to access this
registry, you need to open the registry editor. Run an instance of the
command
prompt or Run dialog and type in regedit. This opens up the registry dialog
box. Now, go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Microsoft>Windows>CurrentVersion>Explorer>RunMRU.

05/Step1
Once done, on the right pane, you will find all recent commands. There are
three columns: Name, Type and Data. Under the Data column, check the command
you wish to delete and under Name the column for the same row, right click
and select delete.

05/Step2
By Changing Windows Properties

The above section demonstrates how to delete selected commands. This section
will show us how to delete the entire Run history. In order to do so, follow
the steps below.

list of 4 items
Right click on the taskbar, go to Properties.
Select Start Menu.
Uncheck the property, "Store and display recently opened programs in the
Start menu."
Apply the changes and select OK.
list end

05/WindowsProperty
This not only ensures to remove the Run history, but also removes the cache
of all recent document links.
Toward the end there it also said you could use CCleaner.
Please let me know if it works. I like the history in the run dialog for
short term memory reasons smile. I might as well, go try it now before I
forget.
Take care.

Hi, everyone,

I just got this computer yesterday. I'm using thunderbird as my email
client since I have windows 7 but I'm having a problem trying to get
my replies to come to the top of other messages I'm trying to reply to.

If any of you use thunderbird, please give me the steps to change it
so my replies to other messages come to the top instead of the bottom.

Thanks very much for your help.
