Which version of winamp?

According to jaws help, they've only made sure it works for some/certain
versions, like winamp 5.3.

Stay well

Using jaws13 and winamp 5.8, I think, I have found that the following keys
 don't work.

To set the volume to 0%, press ALT+CTRL+M,
To set the volume to 33%, press ALT+CTRL+COMMA,
To set the volume to 66%, press ALT+CTRL+PERIOD,
To set the volume to 100%, press ALT+CTRL+SLASH,
To pan 100% left, press ALT+CTRL+H,
To pan 50% left, press ALT+CTRL+J,
 To center sound, press ALT+CTRL+K,
To pan 50% right, press ALT+CTRL+L,
To pan 100% right, press ALT+CTRL+SEMI COLON.

 Can anyone verify this?

Where do I send a bug report?

 Thanks.

Well, there you go then...smile

For just upping and downing volume, I ctrl + tab to main window, and then arrow
up and down, but, anyway...

[Blind-Computing] finding other folders to backup using Karen's replicator

2011-09-22 Thread jason smith
Hi list. I have used Karen's replicator, that I got from the Jaws-users site,
to backup my documents onto an external hard drive. I am also wanting to backup
all of my emails from within Outlook express. However, I am having trouble
finding what information in which to copy into the source box for when setting
up a job? Does anyone have the direct information that I can copy and paste
into that area?
Thanks a lot

Go to the audio page and under the email heading number 12 should give you
the information you need as to the location of your DBX files. Rick does a
nice job in that tutorial walking step by step.

[Blind-Computing] creating an auto run CD

2011-09-22 Thread David Ferrin
The filename you are creating is

autorun.inf

create it in notepad as it is nothing more than a text file. Here is the code
that goes inside of the file:

[autorun]
open=filename.exe

Obviously change filename.exe to match the program you wish to auto run.

Re: [Blind-Computing] down loading a program from the internet

2011-09-22 Thread Matthew and Edgar
Hello Anna. When you click on the link for the program you are asked two
questions. Open or save. What you want to do is save it. When you ar
downloading it you are actually saving it then. Remember where you saved it
to. When you are ready to enter on that.exe file and you can then install
it. If the file is in a .zip or.rar file you must extract it first. Extract
it to a folder and then navigate to the .exe file to install.

after down loading it from the internet .
I need step by step instructions on how to do this so when I uninstall the
original program all I have to do is click on the .exe file and the set up
will start to down load the new program.-anna
