Re: [Blind-Computing] how to burn a cd
Hello; The steps for using the windows XP Burn Utility 1, place CD into drive, and close the drawer. 2, navigate to the folder which contains the files you wish to burn. 3, select all the files, Then press the applications key, Up arrow to send-to sub-menu, Press enter, Now arrow and select your drive and press enter. The files will be placed into the CD drive. Note, you will most likely receive indication that you have files waiting to be written to disc, or something like this. 4, navigate to desktop, Enter on my computer, Enter on your CD Drive, You should see the files your going to burn. 5, here you can either press the applications key, Or alt+f=file, And enter on burn files to disc. Now a wizard will come up, you'll need to select the type of cd, audio or data, and go to next. Once you've completed the wizard, the burn process should start. Hope this helps. It's my understanding; If your wanting to burn a data CD, using windows 7you can burn through the windows explorer, And it's very much like the xp burn utility; However, if your wanting to burn a audio cd, you'll need to use another program. Applies to all editions of Windows 7. Burn a CD or DVD in Windows Explorer If your computer has a CD or DVD burner, you can copy files to a writable disc. This process is called burning a disc. Windows burns discs in the Live File System format or in the Mastered format, depending on which disc format you choose. For more information about deciding which format you should choose when burning a disc, see Which CD or DVD format should I use? The following procedures explain how to use Windows Explorer to burn a data disc (a type of disc that is useful for storing, archiving, and sharing files among different computers and devices). If you want to create other types of discs, such as a DVD-Video disc (to play in a regular DVD player) or an audio CD (to play in a regular CD player), you'll need to use a different program or feature of Windows. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/burn-a-cd-or-dvd-in-windows-expl orer -Original Message- From: blind-computing-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:blind-computing-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of t. Hi Tom, If we are talking about the free audio cd burner from: www.dvdvideosoft.com Once the program is installed, is easy enough to use, , I just looked at it this morning. A good way of learning is to just explore the program and when you get hung up, then ask for some help. We all had to learn it somehow. I will give you a nudge in the right direction, there is no menu bar in the program, all you need to do is use the tab key. Hi, One way that I just did this. A friend sent me a message. I open www.m.facebook.com then press alt+0 for home arrow down to messages and enter Your messages should be listed by person's name link. Enter on person you wish to send a message. When you find the message type "e" for edit Type your message type "B" for reply button and enter. I did this from memory so I hope you get there. Ann - Original Message - From: "t." Re: [Blind-Computing] where is the send button on facebook?
Are you referring to sending your friend a chat message or an email under the "message" link? If you are referring to a chat message that can be found on www.facebook.com Then you have to type out the message and press enter, if you do not see your message then refresh the screen by pressing insert key plus the escape key at the same time. After doing this you should be able to see the message you typed in the chat window. This method works for me. If you are referring to sending your friend the equivalent of an email message while in the facebook program. I do it like this: 1. I go to my friends facebook page. 2. I locate the "message" link on the program under their name 3. I press enter on this link. 4. I then refresh the screen using the method I mentioned above. 5. I then will press the letter e to find an edit field. I then will verify that I am in the right edit field by either tabbing up if forms field is turned to automatic or if not then before i enter forms field I will arrow up and verify that I see the words "send to" and their name. 6. Once I know I am in the correct window I will then turn on forms mode and begin typing my message. 7. Once i have the message composed like I want it I then press the insert key and the key to turn on the pc cursor which in turn will take me out of forms mode. 8. Then below that message you will find things like attach a picture and some other things. You should find the send to button below all of this or if you are replying then i am pretty sure instead of send it will say "reply". 9. This is a button, but I press enter to activate it. I then will refresh the screen and if it is a reply I will go back up the screen and verify that it says my name and a time that the message was sent. 10. If it is an original message I can go back into messages and find a copy of the message that I just composed there. HTH - Original Message - From: "t."
