[Blind-Computing] Credict Card for online purchasing
Hello all, I'd like to make a credict card. But I have a trouble with the signature in document papers. HSBC Vietnam suggest me that I should have a sighted account owner help me to do it. They mean the sighted person will be the responsible person, he / she signs in document compact. Hence, I am just a user. However, I don't like this way since I have to much depend on a owner. Now I'm waiting them for asking their upper posisions. Anyone could tell me how you can own credict cards and bank accounts? Re: [Blind-Computing] Credit Card for online purchasing
Hi Well, I was taught a basic signature that I can write on paper documents. This does require having someone you trust to read the documents to you and to show you where to sign. You can by an inexpensive signature guide, or just have the person at the counter set the credit card at the bottom of the signature area. This works for bank papers, and other documents. There is no reason to have a sighted person on your account with you unless you want them to be. Now then, the above part has little to do with computers. However, this part is more computers oriented for the list. Personally, I use banks that let me do most of my banking online. That way I can keep a tight watch on my money. Most credit card companies in the USA let you manage your account online as well. What you will need is a reliable person to read the information like account numbers as you are setting up your accounts. Once they are set up, you can then reset your passwords for your privacy. It is true that in the days before the computer one may have needed a sighted person on the account with you However, Thanks to the computer, and the internet, blind people are living mostly independent lives. I hope this helps. God bless, Mark God Loves you! Re: [Blind-Computing] Credict Card for online purchasing (UNCLASSIFIED)
Classification: UNCLASSIFIED Caveats: NONE It's certainly possible to have an electronic signature built and placed on your computer, I know that because I have one. How it's actually done however is something I don't know. Another thing I've known people to do is to have a small rubber stamp in a folding case with a signature on it. -Original Message- From: blind-computing-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:blind-computing-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Duong Tuan Nam Sent: Tuesday, July 03, 2012 1:17 AM To: blind-computing@jaws-users.com Subject: [Blind-Computing] Credict Card for online purchasing Hello all, I'd like to make a credict card. [Blind-Computing] Searching for Text in Message Body Thunderbird JAWS
Good Afternoon, I can find text in the body of a Thunderbird 13.x message using Control-Shift-F in Window-Eyes 7.5.4.1, but haven't been able to come up with a keystroke that works with JAWS 13.x. Could someone help? Thunderbird documentation seems to indicate that Control-F works, but JAWS isn't finding text I know is there. JAWS key plus 3 for bypass and Control-F isn't working. Control-Shift-F searches for messages in a folder. Thanks, Margaret For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/

Re: [Blind-Computing] Right-protected
Hi John. Is it possible that the tab on the card was moved? If so, it would cause the card to be protected so nothing else can be written to it. See if you can move the tab but be careful as they are quite delicate. Hope this helps. Pete For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/
