[Blind-Computing] MS word

2012-11-03 Thread Carliss
Listers,

I don't know if there's a office2007 list. But here is my problem. How do I
stop Jaws13 from saying when I'm reading a worddocument, paragraph mark?
I'm using word 2007 and I have know idea how that simble gotthere. I know
it's a simble because my brother was wondering what does that simble mean.
Infact, when I read what I am writing now, Jaws is saying paragraph mark.

Listers, please! Help me to stop whatever this is

By the way, if there's an email list for office2007,please let me know.

Jaws professional works with Windows XP pro, Vista and Windows 7 pro and up,
Windows 8 Pro. Standard jaws works with the XP home, Vista and 7 and 8 up to
pro versions. Also the difference is in price - $200 for jaws Pro.

Hi Carliss,

If I remember correctly, press control shift number eight to turn off and on
proof reading marks such as the paragraph mark.

Also, below is a link to join an Openbook list;

Below is a link for an Office list;

Hi Carliss,

This comes from a fellow list member;

Try the following;

1, open MSWord;

2, insert+v=Jaws Quick Settings;

3, down arrow one time,
Now press the letter E=editing options,

4, arrow down until you hear;
New lines and paragraph indications,
Now press the spacebar until you hear off.
Now press enter.

Hope this helps.

[Blind-Computing] Reading articles with jaws

2012-11-03 Thread Fred Adams
I am using W7 ultimate edition, outlook 2010 and jaws 13.0. In the past
when reading articles in order to skip over header info I would tap the N
key once or twice but something has happened. Now, when I tap the N key
jaws spops or lingers for several seconds. I have gone over my setting
several times but I can't find anything wrong. This is very annoying and I
would appreciate any suggestions on this.

Jaws professional doesn't work on standard windows systems but it works on
