[Blind-Computing] help with miss calls and skype
dear listers, hi. I am running the latest beta version of skype, 3.5 with jaws 8 and the latest skype scripts. if somebody miss calls me while I am gone, I have no way to tell that this happened as skype window no longer comes to the forground (opens) when somebody calls. is there a way that I can tell if I have miss calls without having to manualy open and check the skype window? all the best Mohammed Al-shar' skype: world.of.wonders msn: [EMAIL PROTECTED] www.wowonders.net Visit the Blind Computing List home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/blind-computing@jaws-users.com/ To post to this group, send email to blind-computing@jaws-users.com To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Use the following form in order to contact the management team http://www.blind-computing.com/contact.php If you wish to join the JAWS Users List send a blank email to the following address: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Re: [Blind-Computing] Feed Back Anyone?
Hi David, I am afraid the subject was about System Access To Go not about NVDA, which, I agree, looks very good. all the best Mohammed Al-shar' skype: world.of.wonders msn: [EMAIL PROTECTED] www.wowonders.net - Original Message - From: David Ferrin [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: blind-computing@jaws-users.com Sent: Sunday, July 22, 2007 1:34 AM Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] Feed Back Anyone? Personally I've played around with NVDA a few times and am quite impressed. I don't know how fully functional it will end up being as it is only at version .05 right now. Still for somebody who needs to access various systems that belong to other people every once in a while it gets done what I need it to do so far. I've been playing with SATOGO for a month or so and have been very favorably impressed. I've actually come across a couple situations where I couldn't save settings in an Excel worksheet in JAWS but was able to read the thing with SATOGO. There was a bug for a while where the voice would change back to the default unexpectedly, but apparently that's been addressed. I think this is a tremendously significant development in terms of providing access for visually impaired people to information. The thing even works very well with PDF files, so it'll be a natural for libraries, government offices etc. who are required to provide documents in a readable format for blind people. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Ricque Sent: Saturday, July 21, 2007 1:16 PM To: blind-computing@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] Feed Back Anyone? Hi Miss Cathy, Yes, I gave it a go. It's not bad,and it's not Jaws or Window Eyes either. In most cases, as a portable reader, so to speak, it will get the job done.
