Re: [Blind-Computing] Internet explorer9?

2011-05-26 Thread John Justice
Hi Bill.
Assuming that you are using Windows 7 or XP, your default would probably be
the one installed with the software. So, if you uninstall Explorer 9, the
system should go back to the explorer version you had before.

So long as we are on the subject, how can one go back to IE 8?

I installed IE 9 and find it obtrusive at best, can I simply uninstall it
and then reactivate IE 8 or must I first download a copy of IE 8?

[Blind-Computing] Internet explorer9?

2011-04-29 Thread Carliss
Listers,

I received Internet explorer9 in windows updates, but I wouldn't download
and install it because I thought I heard that there's a problem with it and
some screen readers?

I'm using IE8, and we are getting along just fine but, I like improvements
so, are there improvements in IE9, that I should know about and would want
to install it?

I'm here listening.

Thanks!

Carliss

Hi Bill,
If IE9 shows up in uninstall programs,
then simply uninstall it, and the system should revert to IE8.

alt N ought to bring up options menu to save or run. Alternatively, you can
click on download link and go back for it later by hitting control J to pull up
the downloads folder.
HTH!
