Re: [Blind-Computing] JSay verses jTools

2010-06-17 Thread Annette Carr
Hi Bill,

If my memory serves me right, jSay gives Dragon the ability to execute many
of the JAWS commands. I would like to figure out what the functional
differences are between jSay and jTools.

Thanks,
Annette

Annette,

Have you considered using a secondary sound device for your JAWS output?
For example, you can buy a Turtle Beach USB sound device and configure JAWS
to speak through that device. I'd suspect that you could then use
headphones with the USB sound device to listen to JAWS while the native
sound card would be free to process Dragon input.

The Turtle Beach USB sound device is quite reasonably priced -- around $15
or so.

[Blind-Computing] JSay verses jTools

2010-06-16 Thread Annette Carr
Hello List,

I am now faced with moving toward using Dragon Naturally Speaking in
combination with JAWS. Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of JSay verses
jTools?

Thanks,

Annette
