Hi, Scott,

You're right. I remember now that when I had the old XP computer, it first
came with XP pro and Jaws standard didn't work on it. My nephew who helped
me get that computer had to help me get XP home eddition

Thanks for the correction.

Sorry, but you're wrong. Jaws pro will work on home and pro versions, but
Jaws standard will not work on pro or higher versions of windows.

Hi, Fred,

Jaws professional doesn't work on standard windows systems but it works on
such systems as XP pro and higher. The other difference is the price of Jaws
pro. It's more expensive than the home versions.

Hope this helps.

Back in the day, I needed the professional version of JAWS to be able to
write code in HTML, Visual Basic & other programming languages. That was
back in 2003 so that necessity may have changed since then.

Chris is right. If you have a need to control several computers or are
running a server, or want to use pro versions of operating systems, then get
the pro license. If you don't do any of these things then the standard Jaws
license will do just fine. It should still be a crime that Freedom
scientific is needlessly robbing us of extra $300 in cash, but just my
opinion.
