Hi, Scott, You're right. I remember now that when I had the old XP computer, it first came with XP pro and Jaws standard didn't work on it. Back in the day, I needed the professional version of JAWS to be able to write code in HTML, Visual Basic & other programming languages. That was back in 2003 so that necessity may have changed since then. Chris is right. If you have a need to control several computers or are running a server, or want to use pro versions of operating systems, then get the pro license. If you don't do any of these things then the standard Jaws license will do just fine. It should still be a crime that Freedom scientific is needlessly robbing us of extra $300 in cash, but just my opinion.
