[Blind-Computing] Splitting mp3s with JAWS
Hi all, I'd be curious if anyone here could recommend an easy-to-use program compatible with JAWS that can be used to split mp3 files, particularly large single-file audiobooks into multiple smaller files. I've tried out a couple programs but haven't been able to find any that work intuitively with JAWS, so any suggestions would be very much appreciated. If a program like this even exists, I'd ideally like one that would let me manually enter the start and end split times without having to use a graphic bar to find and select the start and end points. Thanks very much in advance for any help! -- Tyler Squire blackadd...@fastmail.us -- http://www.fastmail.fm - A no graphics, no pop-ups email service For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/

Hi, The advantage to AudioBookCutter is that it respects the nearest silence to the cut point you suggest rather than splitting files in mid-word. Hi David, Many thanks for suggesting those links. I've tried installing BookSplit but get an error message saying that comdlg32.ocx or one of its dependencies is not correctly registered. Do you, or does anyone else, happen to know how to resolve this issue? Thanks again! I suspect Tyler is running on a Vista computer. I have quite a few Windows 2000/XP applications that will not run on Vista.
