As for the part with cutting out a portion of a track, yvonne, MP3DirectCut would do it, or there are also audio editors like Goldwave or Audacity; then you can save the piece in whatever format your cell phone supports and set it there as a ringtone. Again Yvonne you are not separating out the two parts of what you want to do. I do not know Express Burn so someone else will have to advise on that. Nor do I understand what you are saying about extracting part of a file. You didn't mention if this was Express Burn?
