Re: [Blind-Computing] Jaws 11, win seven start menu and desktop?

2010-02-01 Thread matthew
You are having the same problem I do when trying to open something from the
desktop. It doesn't happen all the time but it does. I think your windows
explorer is crashing. I did get a notification on this once and it said that
is what was happening. Something needs to be updated in your drivers. I
myself have to go to hp to se if they have come up with drivers that will
work with win 7. As of the last time I looked they did not have them yet.

Hi,
I'm having problem, that when I'm in win 7 and go to the desktop and want
go to the computer, control panel, etc., it'll not do anything, but after
minutes or two, will give me message, that the server explorer was stopped
and there is button "ok", but after this it'll open my previous folder.
Next thing is in start menu, when I'm browsing there and I'm on shut down
option, it'll tell me something like "no select item".
And is possible turn off search box from start menu? I tried find it in
task bar settings, but no results.
With best regards,

In the search box, just hit the tab key, and it'll jump to a sort of list of
programs, and if you immediately arrow up, I think you'll generally get
shutdown focused on, and if you then arrow right, you'll find things like
restart etc.

Aside from that, generally it seems best for me to type things in that
search box and then arrow up and down through the automatically generated
list of possibilities.

To browse computer etc., I think on the desktop, you'll generally find
something like your user name which is sort of the new version of my
documents, and if you hit the C key, and it focuses on computer, hit enter,
and it'll be in a sort of list of locations.

Lastly to access desktop, use the windows key + D key combo since recently
found out that apparently, windows key + M was actually not really meant to
be used a while ago, but it still does some of the time.

Stay well
