Re: [Blind-Computing] MS Office 2003, free download

Hi,

Sometimes, Microsoft will offer what they call a "free download" which
actually will allow you to try the product for a certain time. Yes, the
download is free but at the end of your trial, you have to either purchase
it or not.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] MS Office 2003, free download

Dear List,

A few months ago, someone posted an url to download MS Office 2003 for
free I think on this list.

A friend now needs to re-install this after a pc crash, but does not
have a cd, the Office 2003 package having been a complementary
installation by the Vender when the pc was purchased some years ago.

Does someone please still have the relevant url and can one just install
it via the windows components in the add/remove programs submenu under
the control panel in Windows XP?

If not, where can he find details on how to do the relevant
installation,
clear enough for an average jaws 11 user?

Thanks and regards,

Riana

Hi,

Office 2003 is something you have to purchase but the service pack is free.

I would most certainly bet against such a thing as well.

It is true many PC's come with a trial version of programs
such as MS Office. However, I don't recall seeing any info
on a free download of MS Office 2003. I would be very
shocked if such a legitimate offer existed.

2010-11-01 Thread Lali

Dear Riana!

You can not install it, because it is not the part of xp. You can
install it by the installation package, or downloaded something.
When you do not receive it, I can upload a copy of them, I do not know,
that it could install in english too, but it is hungarian, but do not
know, how is about the xp, and office connection in language.

God bless all!
Lali

Hi Riana,

It could be that your friend is looking at maybe the word document viewer,
which is a free download from Microsoft.

I don't readily have the link to the download page, but I'm sure if you
Google word document viewer and Microsoft, you should get it within the
first hits on the page.
