1. Outlook is included in Office 2003 Standard and Pro.
2. As far as I have been able to find, Office 2003 is the minimum that is
officially supported on Win 7. Office XP can be installed, but has
reported issues with no work-around.
3. As far as I know, it can only be installed on one computer. But, once
I open the package, I will have my wife read the license to verify that
fact. If I recall, some MS products do allow you to install on more than
one computer, as long as not more than one of the copies is being used
concurrently. Not a problem for me, as I will only have one computer
running Win 7. Next new computer is going to be a Mac.

Couple of questions. Does this include Outlook as well? Is
this the minimum Office that will work on Window's 7? How
many computes can you install it on with the serial # they

Hi,
I completely agree with you. I just purchased a
shrink-wrapped copy of
Office 2003 for $50, which included shipping. I have not
installed it yet,
but I am in the process of upgrading my main computer from
XP to Win 7. I
currently use Office XP, which still serves me fine, but
there are some
issues with it running on Win 7. For what I do with Office,
2003 will be
just fine. There are tons of them available on eBay, but I
am always leery
of getting bootleg stuff. The seller I bought from had 100%
positive
feedback, which I always look for. It also said that it was
a shrink-wrap
package and in fact it was. I still haven't broken the seal
on the package.
I setup my main computer to dual boot XP and Win 7.
Unfortunately, I
haven't had much time to get everything installed on Win 7,
as I am always
working on other peoples computers.

Good luck,
John

I do not want to keep up with the Jonses at this point so,

can anyone tell

Everybody is selling 2007 and 2010 but I am not ready for

Re: [Blind-Computing] Want to purchase a copy ofMicrosoft2003program

2011-04-01 Thread John M.
No, I did not consider moving to Office 2007. I am a light user of Word and
Excel and did not want to spend the extra $$ to move to 2007. I will most
likely also use Outlook 2003, as OE does not work with Win 7 and I have
never found Thunderbird to work that well with Jaws. I wish that Open
Office was more accessible, as I would prefer to use that and be done with
MS Office all together.

Did you consider getting Office 2007 instead? Just thinking
