The type we have at work uses a credit card shape 
about 1/8in thick. It only lets you in the doors 
you are authorized to get in. So my card works on 
2 doors in the whole building. You just hold it 
up and the door goes beep, click and about 3 
seconds it clicks locked. The only other way in 
is breaking the glass in the door, and that would 
set off alarms and send cops. If you break the censer the door stays locked.
