[BlindHandyMan] Broken pipe...
Hi it's me again, I noticed that our copper water pipe that is 1/2 inch and goes to the water spicket for the garden hose has a split of about 1 and 1/2 inch long. I cut the split off with a pipe cutter. Now, I have never fixed a broken pipe before and sorry to say that I don't know how to fix it. What is the easiest way? The split is too large for a shark bite that I bought at a home depot. Everyone there said that using 2 hose clamps with a half inch reinforced hose is not a good idea,. I thought that it would buy me some time.. [BlindHandyMan] Heating thermostats?
Hi, I went to home depot and purchased 2 honeywell EASY TO READ raised number-click style thermostats. My electrician said that this wasn't going to work properly because what I need is just a 2 wire/heating oil forced hot water version. The one I got was a five wire for heat colling and hot water ect version. I called Honeywell to see if Ican get the one I need and not getting anywhere. Can someone tell me where I can get something that a blind person can use like this? I know there is the talking thermostat but, all I need is the basic put-it-on 68 degrees type. Any help will be greatly appreciated. p.s. My electrician is also trying some supply houses. If I can get a model number or something, It may be easier. Andy.
