Hi You can make an inexpensive anti-fog glass spray to keep your bathroom mirrors and the inside of your car's windshield fog-free. This solution keeps condensation from collecting on these surfaces. Steps: 1. Pour 2 ounces of white vinegar in a medium sized bowl. 2. Add 1 quart hot water. 3. Dip a clean, lint-free cloth into mixture. 4. Lightly wring out cloth. 5. Wipe mirrors and the inside of car windshields with cloth. 6. Allow to dry. Tips: Make sure mirrors and inside of windshield are clean before you put the solution on them. This is a great home remedy for keeping your car's windshield, windows and mirrors frost-free on those cold winter days. Steps: 1. Mix 3 cups of vinegar and 1 cup of water in a bowl. Dip a clean cloth or rag into the solution and gently wring out. 2. Wipe all glass surfaces with the solution, including windshield, windows and mirrors. 3. Allow to dry naturally. 4. Reapply solution after several freezing's throughout the cold months. Tips: If the sun is shining, allow the car to sit outside with the sun directly on the glass to heat it up. Or put your vehicle in the garage after driving it for several minutes; this will heat the air in the garage. Make sure the glass and mirrors are clean before applying the mixture. Why pay for windshield wiper fluid? It's easy and inexpensive to make. Steps: 1. Combine 3 c. household window cleaner with 1 gallon water in a pail. 2. Mix well. 3. Open the hood of your car. 4. Pour the fluid in the windshield wiper fluid reservoir. (Use a funnel to avoid spilling fluid.) 5. Close the hood. Tips: Make sure to dilute the window cleaner or it will leave streaks. Warnings: Compare prices to make sure you spend less on window cleaner than you would on formulated windshield wiper fluid. If you live in a cold climate, make sure the homemade fluid won't freeze in the tank, as this can damage cars. Make a small batch of fluid and place it in the freezer overnight. If the fluid freezes, don't use it. Add 1 or 2 tablespoons of liquid HAND dishwashing detergent to washer reservoir and stir. This will eliminate streaking and will not remove wax from paint as ammonia does.
