RE: [BlindHandyMan] Ant Killer
Hey Trouble - I never knew salt could be used to control ants. It's great to find a solution that doesn't depend on poison. Thanks! Run it around the inside of the fence in a nice line. This will stop all ants from coming in and those that are in will leave. Because you just stopped the food train from coming in. And it won't hurt the dogs.

Salt certainly is poison. It will damage the ground you put it on for years. - Original Message - From: Gary Hale To: blindhandyman@yahoogroups.com Sent: Wednesday, April 29, 2009 5:02 PM Subject: RE: [BlindHandyMan] Ant Killer Hey Trouble - I never knew salt could be used to control ants. RE: [BlindHandyMan] Ant Killer
The salt will kill any weeds it hits, and won't do a thing to the dogs. All animals love salt licks. As far as the ants, they travel by leaving a sent trail. The salt is like death to them. It don't smell good or feel good to walk on. If you got a ant hill. Just pore some in the top at the hole, nothing will come out that way unless there truly stupid or last dyeing efforts. Well I know to keep ants away from inside the house, you can get the dryer sheets and place them around different areas, (and even where they are not noticeable), because they sure do work and will do the trick. Those little tin ant hotels work pretty well too. The dogs can't get at the poison inside. - Original Message - From: Rodger Hood To: blindhandyman@yahoogroups.com Sent: Friday, April 24, 2009 10:22 PM Subject: Re: [BlindHandyMan] Ant Killer burry some ant stakes in the soil next to any concrete and fences provided the dogs do not dig up anything.Another thing that I have always done is water in some granules.
