It's a physical server ( no virtualisation ), iLO, NIC1 and NIC2 available
only on a HP DL360 G4.

I did build the drives on a DL360 G4 then moved it to another DL360 G$ (
modified the relevant rules files to remove the hardware addresses as per
list emails that I read to handle the situation ). The System Settings /
TCP/IP screen shows four adapters but only the first two are filled/used.

The machine is working well and routing is successful... I did add the
routes to the route table manually because I 'had to have them' but this
issue was apparent before I manually added the routes. If I add more routes
( that are not manually added in the existing route table ) the same error
is apparent.

[BlueOnyx:10856] Re: Web Ownership

2012-06-24 Thread Dr. Blunt
It seems when the ownership is changed to apache the files read
apache:site_owner since I manage all the 15 WPs sites it is an easier
situation that the one you have to address. As noted the suPHP just
doesn't run consistent throughout the sites for me. In times past I changed
the ownership to apache and did the WP update. Having installed nearly
two dozen WP sites one would think I could have figured this out by now.
I pulled two WP sites up side-by-side from the command line and made
them both the same according to the one that was working but that
didn't help. I am still doing some research in the WP forums but they
point toward ownership and file permissions issues. I am running dir 755 and
files 644. Keep me posted if you find something and I will try it on my end.

Hi David,

My problem is that I have users with WordPress as only part of their site.
If I have the wp-content folder owned by Apache then the user can upload
files via the admin panel as well as FTP to other areas of the site. I
imagine if I had all WP files owned by apache:apache then they could update
the engine as well.

It just seems odd that a user can change the ownership from apache to a site
admin user but not the other way around.

Installing that module should not cause an issue for the gui.

Thank you. I am using the standard PHP version. But I am wondering, since
the GUI is heavily dependent on the right PHP version and modules, if it
would be without risk to do a yum install php-soap.

[BlueOnyx:10850] 'Add Static Route" strangeness

2012-06-24 Thread Support
Hello,

In an updated 5107R on System Settings / TCP/IP / Modify Static Routes / Add
/ Network Interface there are four ( 4 ) interfaces listed in the 'Network
Interface' dropdown ( with two used in the system/install ) but all point to
eth3 with the result that you cannot add a static route through the GUI as
it tells you that the route you are entering cannot use the route assigned
to 'eth3' which obviously doesn't exist.

I had ( today ) a brand new 5107R server install doing exactly the same
thing and as the date/time is incredibly important on this machine ( HP
DL360 G4 ) I have checked
everywhere for an invalid configuration without success.

And so I was wondering if it was because of this;

ntpd0:off 1:off 2:off 3:off 4:off 5:off 6:off
ntpdate 0:off 1:off 2:off 3:off 4:off 5:off 6:off

So based on what I read on the interweb I did;

service ntpd start
chkconfig ntpd on

ntpd0:off 1:off 2:on3:on4:on5:on6:off
ntpdate 0:off 1:off 2:off 3:off 4:off 5:off 6:off

... and has this has seemingly fixed my issue ( GUI changes and machine
restarts no longer result in an incorrect date/time ).
