[BlueOnyx:24757] Re: OpenVZ 7: AlmaLinux OS template cache

2021-02-02 Thread Michael Stauber
Hi all,

We just released an unofficial "AlmaLinux 8.3 beta 1" OS template cache
for OpenVZ 7 and Aventurin{e} 6109R.

If you set up a CT using this OS template cache, it'll connect to the
AlmaLinux beta repositories to install a CT with a minimal "AlmaLinux
8.3 beta 1". This doesn't include BlueOnyx 5210R.

Aventurin{e} 6109R users can simply install the OS template cache this way:

yum install almalinux-8-x86_64-ez

OpenVZ 7 users w/o Aventurin{e} can grab the RPM here:

http://updates.aventurin.net/pub/Aventurin/6109R/EL7/aventurin/x86_64/RPMS/almalinux-8-x86_64-ez-1.0.0-1BX01.vl7.noarch.rpm

Caveat emptor: This is an unofficially built installer of an OS that's
currently in beta. Use it to give AlmaLinux a quick spin and test ride.
I cannot guarantee that CTs set up with this OS template cache will
continue to YUM/DNF update once AlmaLinux leaves beta.

[BlueOnyx:24756] Re: RoundCube mysteriously stopped working

2021-02-02 Thread Meaulnes Legler @ MailList

hello

just yesterday, a failed login happened to me, too... don't ask me why all of a
sudden!

if the error displays:

DATABASE ERROR: CONNECTION FAILED!
Unable to connect to the database!
Please contact your server-administrator.

then the MySQL database has a glitch, maybe caused by the entries of a previous
RC version.

• in phpMyAdmin, all databases are listed in its left column.
All RC databases start with nwa_... (like nwa_pEswssHgtxvC)
To find out which database is related to the current RC installation, then
  - check the config/config.inc.php file in the web/roundcube/ installation,
  - look for the line $config['db_dsnw'] =
  - at the end of the line you will find the database name: nwa_whatever

• in phpMyAdmin, select the above database
open phpMyAdmin in a new browser window by clicking on the ↪︎ arrow on the
upper right
in the 1st tab «Structure», spot the last line «users»
click on «Structure» (between Browse and Search)
spot the 4th line «alias», its Default value is probably NONE
  click on the Action «Change»
change the Default value in its [_dropdown_⬍] to NULL
click (_Save_) at the lower right

The login into RC should work now.

hope that helps

At any rate, I'm sure you and your fellow smart people in Texas can figure this
out and I await your reply.

Is this a known issue? Don’t recall it ever happening in my 20+ years
of using these Cobalt/BQ/BO.

I haven’t restarted. Will try that after business hours.

BlueOnyx 5209R with BOPE, RC 1.2.0, at Virtbiz Server load, disk
space, etc., all fine.

We also had a report of a RoundCube user on 5209R with difficulty logging in
via webmail. The account authenticates with all other methods. Just not
from Roundcube. This user's version is 1.4.10.
