Forgive me, this is not a technical posting. I pass this information

This is late in coming, but I only learned today. Darrell Mobley, a
frequent contributor to the BlueOnyx (and BlueQuartz before it) list,
has passed away. Darrell's last post to this list was on August 4 and
his death was just 5 days after on August 9, 2011. He was 54 years old.
Darrell has been a customer of ours since 2006 and was an ardent fan of
the BlueOnyx platform and a vivid personality on this list. As with
many of you that I know as fellow BX users and/or customers, I have long
considered Darrell a friend.
I called Darrell to check in on him today after we had not heard from
him regarding some alarms that his server was generating. When his
Apache failed to respond for 4 hours, we were escalated to investigate
and restore as per our standing SLA with him. That was the first time
that we had stepped in without being asked, and that struck me as odd.
Darrell's mother answered the phone and told me the news.
Again, forgive me if the post is not of the usual content, but I felt it
was worthy of mention here.
I am not a regular contributor to this list, but I am a regular reader.
I am so sorry to hear this.
Does anyone know what the cause was? I don't wish this to sound like
some sort of morbid curiosity.
I suffered a stroke last year at the age of 46, so I know how fragile
life can be.
I just wonder how one so young is taken from us.
My thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time.
