It is nice that they have plans, and I hope it happens. But it is far
from a done deal at this point. Just imagine when some Congresscritter
looks at the money being spent, and starts to imagine how it can be used
for their own pet projects. Mars trip vs. Bridge to Nowhere.

Although I admire Futurama and find it clever and entirely watchable
if I catch an episode I've never found it gripping enough to actually
follow. There are only so many hours in a day after all, and so many
ways of squandering them :)

I remember watching the first episode of _The Shield_ and thinking
'this is a pretty good show' and not watching any of it after that
because _Buffy_ and _Angel_ and _Alias_ and some other shows I found
more engrossing were still airing new episodes then.

Thanks to the writers' strike and Amazon's low low DVD set prices I am
now on season three of _The Shield_ :)

Stopped watching House maru

Then you need to watch the 'Razor' DVD too first.

The first one only came out today in the UK! They are doing a bunch
of films, aren't they? Is it one for each main character?

Best televised sci-fi series EVER. Ok, so there were a couple of slow points
in the plotline. But I can't wait for the rest of the series. And the movie.

Disappointed I WILL be when it all ends :(

On another note, I also loved Futurama. There's a second Futurama movie
coming out soon, FYI.

Even the NYT got it wrong:

 Correction: April 7, 2008

A front-page obituary and a headline in some editions on
Sunday about the actor Charlton Heston misstated his age
and the year of his birth. He was 84, not 83, and was born
 in 1923, not 1924.

It's sad to me that he appeared to be just a nasty old codger in his
last
role as NRA spokesperson, but I always appreciated the story about his
concerns over the line "God damn you all to hell" in Planet of the Apes.
As a devout Christian, he was evidently concerned about taking God's
name
in vain, but convinced himself (or the studio heads, and no word yet
from
the Creator Himself) that it was justified because the character really
was calling for divine retribution against the maniacs who blew it all
up, not just using the phrase "God damn you" as is done casually by
lesser mortals.
