Re: [Bug-AUCTeX] 11.87; ctrl-C ` not working as it should

2014-09-16 Thread Kevin R Vixie
It seems that this part of my preamble:

\usepackage[bookmarks=true, % true means bookmarks
bookmarksnumbered=false, % left window are numbered
bookmarksopen=false, % true means only level 1 are displayed.
colorlinks=true,
linkcolor=red]{hyperref}

is causing the problem because when I comment it
out, the problem goes away. But that is still a bug
since this has always worked before ...

 Be sure to consult the FAQ section in the manual before submitting
 a bug report. In addition check if the bug is reproducible with an
 up-to-date version of AUCTeX. So please upgrade to the version
 available from http://www.gnu.org/software/auctex/ if your
 installation is older than the one available from the web site.

 If the bug is triggered by a specific (La)TeX file, you should try

 correctly compiling) Latex file, like \gamma -- \gammma.

Wow, this is the most asked question of the day on the AUCTeX mailing
lists! The solution is to call latex with the file line error style,
as explained also in the FAQ of AUCTeX:
http://www.gnu.org/software/auctex/manual/auctex.html#FAQ  You can
accomplish that by adding the following code to your init file:

  (setq LaTeX-command-style
'(( %(PDF)%(latex) -file-line-error %S%(PDFout

See also http://tex.stackexchange.com/q/124246/31416 By the way, are
you the Kevin R. Vixie on TeX.stackexchange? Your question has been
marked as a duplicate of this one.

Bye,
Mosè
