[Bug ld/20471] [2.27 Regression] ld test failures on powerpc-linux-gnu
https://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=20471 Nick Clifton changed: What|Removed |Added CC||nickc at redhat dot com --- Comment #1 from Nick Clifton --- Hi Matthias, I do not have access to a native PowerPC platform at the moment, so please could you do some investigations for me ? Why do the tests fail ? (ie what is in the ld.log file ?) Given that the same tests pass on an x86_64 native host, I am going to assume that the problem is PowerPC specific. Since there have been several patches to the ppc code over the last few weeks, please could you also check to see if the problem persists when the current head of the mainline development code is used. Probably, but I can't test until this evening and I don't fully understand why ar and hppa-linux-gnu-ar were not inter operable for native archives. Mattias probably could explain why it was necesary to divert triplet-prefixed names.
