Ah that would explain it then.  It must have been fixed some time after the
2.36 branch was created.

I am going to close this bug since the current sources work...

Hello Nick,

the Version form the ARM GCC Release gcc-arm-none-eabi-10.3-2021.10 was used.
According to the change-log this is binutils-2_36-branch

Hi Markus,

  Which version of the binutils are you using ?

  I tried to reproduce this today using the current mainline development
sources, but nothing went wrong.  The disassembly worked and there were no
error messages about missing variables.
