[bug #36096] [Gorm]: Nsmatrix dragging

2023-08-27 Thread Gregory John Casamento
Update of bug #36096 (project gnustep):

  Item Group:None => Change Request
  Status:None => Wont Fix
 Assigned to:None => gcasa
 Open/Closed:Open => Declined

___

Follow-up Comment #1:

The issue with this is that all of the other combinations are spoken for:

* Command+Drag - drags the window
* Alt (Option)+Drag - Stretches the matrix and makes the cells larger
* CTRL+Drag - Stretches the matrix and doesn't enlarge the cells

Those are the "Nice" combinations. All that is left are combos using other
modifiers. I have added the discussed inspector changes (many years ago) I
believe this addresses the problem, though maybe not the way you wanted.

[bug #20721] drag and drop doesn't work in fluxbox

  Item Group:None => Change Request
  Status:None => Wont Fix
 Assigned to:None => gcasa
 Open/Closed:Open => Declined

___

Follow-up Comment #1:

I don't know how compliant fluxbox is with some of the standard features we
require, so I am not sure if this is fixable from our side. GNUstep can
operate under many OSs including Windows, under X11-based (or Wayland)
environments the code in the backend expects the window manager to be
conformant with the freedesktop.org standards.

I am going to close this for now since there hasn't been any interaction in so
long, if you are still interested in this please re-open this ticket at
https://github.com/gnustep/apps-gorm.

[bug #23343] Current implementation of GSWindowTemplate ignores _defer flag on NSWindow instances

2022-12-28 Thread Gregory John Casamento
Update of bug #23343 (project gnustep):

  Item Group: Bug => Change Request
  Status: In Progress => Wont Fix
 Open/Closed:Open => Declined

___

Follow-up Comment #1:

Defer has no meaning with NSWindow under GNUstep since NSWindow implements
NSCoding in GS and does NOT on Cocoa. NSWindowTemplate is used to represent
an NSWindow object in nib and xib archives, but in .gorm files this is not the
case. I consider this issue closed since it does work for those two other
formats and would be pointless to solve in the .gorm format.

In older version of Gorm images were directly encoded. This caused this issue
where image data is saved. Now images are encoded by name, so that this no
longer happens. Since older .gorm files still have the image encoded as data
it will be loaded as such. The solution is to delete the controls which have
this problem and add them back in.

Please see the attached image of a gorm which was saved with neos and loaded
with "Darkness"

Is this an issue on the cairo backend? (It's still important if it's not, it
