These are outdated places. Please go to

http://savannah.gnu.org/projects/guile

for uptodate information. Guile moved around a bit recently...

Re: awk portability

2001-05-27 Thread Golubev I. N.

We already have a fix for SCO nawk in CVS. Does it help?

Yes, revision 1.2 of
`guile/guile-core/libguile/guile-func-name-check.in' from
subversions.gnu.org helps with sco awk.

But why do not I see this change neither in snapshot in
ftp://ftp.red-bean.com/pub/guile/snapshots/guile-core-20010514.tar.gz
nor in `:pserver:anoncvs@source{ware.cygnus,s.redhat}.com:/cvs/guile'
(which snapshot seems to be derived from)?

What are replication rules for guile cvs repositories in
subversions.gnu.org and sources.redhat.com?

I would like it if they could be replaced with Guile programs, even
if that means a slightly more contorted build procedure.

It is just another wording of what I wrote on Wed, 16 May 2001
13:30:44 in [EMAIL PROTECTED]. Why do not just follow
GNU coding standards and write things like this in universally
portable sed?

might not, if the version of SCO is different, or something.

and I just tested building Guile on an HP, and guess what -- the
native awk doesn't like the snarfer at all.

looks like the awk script should be replaced as soon as possible...

* guile-func-name-check.in: now should not confuse SCO nawk
anymore. thanks to Bruce Korb for the fix!
