Hi,

Confirmed on a couple of my installs.  I too have an unencrypted root
and encrypted home filesystems.  The passphrase prompt never appears and
the system seems to be waiting for something or is halted.

I've git bisected it down to:

Commit 2b052fe3c0fa85e9faa8873a581568ad4c78e151 still works.

bug#70064: Error when loading r-sf and other spatial packages (gdal related)

Dear guix community,

I am quite new to Guix so I apologize if I am doing something wrong.

I added channel guix-cran to get R packages. I installed r-sf r-terra, 
and other packages. However, I cannot load them in R.


Here, at the end of the message I show and example with r-rgdal but same 
thing happens with r-sf or r-terra.


Am I doing something wrong? Can you reproduce the bug?

bug#70062: issue with openldap managed users on HPC

hello, I installed guix in a HPC environment and everything works as expected 
if I use guix as a local user. I got this issue when I try to run it as an 
openldap/sssd-managed user.

example:

[konrad@frontend ~]$ guix install hello
user with UID 1 not found
guix install: error: while creating directory 
`/var/guix/profiles/per-user/konrad': Permission denied
hint: Please create the `/var/guix/profiles/per-user/konrad' directory, with 
you as the owner.

I could create the missing /var/guix/profiles/per-user/konrad directory with 
the proper uid and gid and everything works as expected, but creating a 
procedure for managing this issue do not look like a clean solution to me. Am I 
missing something? Am I the only one using guix with such an environment?
