If I may make a suggestion.

That an article entitled something like this, "What is special about the
Hurd" Which would give examples of how to use the special features which
Hurd offers. Say three levels per feature, illustrative, practical,
advanced practical. This needs to in the same directory and the images so
people downloading an image will see it. This should be an effective
promotional tool.

This suggestion was inspired by what I saw in the faq.

I guess this would be more or less the translator_primer page, wouldn't
it?

Should that be inline README, at beginning, at end, etc.?

It'd be really good that people help us with sorting out the promotional
stuff on the wiki. It's typically the kind of things that take time
while not being technical, so I don't see any reason why this couldn't
be done by other people than the usual ever-busy developers.

So is supposed to be generated at some point in the
gnumach install? That doesn't happen during my build from the
Savannah sources; it only provides . Am I missing
a step somewhere?

Thanks.

System headers are provided by glibc (and by the libc0.3-dev package on
Debian GNU/Hurd).

If this is meant to specifically be a Debian GNU/Hurd timeline (as
described in the text), then it isn't: it's rather a summary of the
Hurd's news/* articles. This is fine to have, but should then rather
live on the top-level news page, or -- better yet, in my opinion -- on
the top-level history page.

Cool, thanks!

There’s a small syntax error:

[identifying and
backporting]](http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-hurd/2012-11/msg00077.html)

(double ]] )

→ can you still fix it?

This is intended to be part of the news article, because it is something which
people likely want to know.

That does not mean that we cannot reuse it in other places…

Best wishes,
