Huh. I get a bus error with GUB 2.11.65 on OSX, and a segfault
with the same GUB on Linux, but those don't have any debug
symbols. I just tried it on kainhofer (ie recent build from git),
and didn't have any problems.

I took a quick glance at recent git activity and couldn't see
anything that might have fixed it, but then again there's been a
lot of commits recently. If it still happens in 2.11.66 or 2.12,
I'll try setting up a build environment on OSX and investigating
more.

Cheers,
- Graham

Here's what I get on a Fedora 9 x86_64 box with all recent updates,
compiling scores 1+...+5 (I get no segfault with 1+...+4, and I also get
a segfault with all 8 scores enabled):

gdb --args lilypond -I 1* -I 2* -I 3* -I 4* -I 5* -I 6* -I 7* -I 8* -I init/
-ddelete-intermediate-files -V sc-op2.ly

I get exactly the same segfault under Ubuntu 8.10 x86_64 using either
current git or a hard reset to
b6c67b728984028b7ff6186db796bd0121bd6afa.

It works fine with all eight scores under XP x86 2.11.65 though (with
a few programming errors for bad number of pages).

BDM, I still can't reproduce, and can't see what's wrong in the
backtrace.

Does someone have an idea how I could reproduce it, maybe changing an
optimization option? (I use -O2)

Might a core dump help?

I don't know, except installing GNU/Linux on your computer :-)

I would say install OSX 10.4, but I think that's already installed

Can you verify that valgrind does not complain of your code? You'll
need to silence GUILE GC related warnings.
