i see this is somehow dead... Should i push the patch that Jan attached to

ok.  Mike just admitted on lilypond-devel that he's noticing intermittent  
inconsistencies in beam-slope-stemlet.ly which he's almost certain came  
from his stem patch.  He's working on a patch.


For now, ignore any weirdness in that regtest.

just done it again and got the same results as before.

just to be sure this is what I do.

cd lilypond-git
rm -rf build
mkdir build
cd build
../configure
make -j7
make -j7 CPU_COUNT=7 test-baseline
cd ..  (so I can patch in lilypond-git)
patch -p1 < [PATHTOPATCHFILE]
cd build
make -j7
make -j7 CPU_COUNT=7 check

I always make a git status and gitk to make sure my start point is the same.

there is just no way that this could happen.  Are you sure that you didn't  
apply a different patch by mistake?  If there isn't some reason like that,  
then I'd start to wonder if you had a virus or something.


(it could also be some uninitialized variable screw-up; it'll take a week  
or two for all the patches we've had recently to get through the review  
process)
