I wasn't able to reproduce it, actually, but I remember having seen such  
errors when compiling my opera on a Windows system, when deactivating the  
minimal-page-breaking option.


I'll try and investigate it, using your 1-line example above.

Unless we have a file, we can't debug this.  Why not have the score

You could try making distinct \bookpart{}s, or tweaking the memory settings  
(see the

Usage manual).  Also, do you have an example you could send (privately) to a
programmer who was interested in working on this?
