Can you get a backtrace from the coredump?

You should be able to use dbx or gdb to get a backtrace.

dbx /path/to/httpd /path/to/corefile
(dbx) where
(dbx) quit

same for gdb

The backtrace from the coredump does not seem to be particularly helpful. Here
is what gdb says ...

I have just upgraded to 2.0.44, and the bug is still there with the same
symptoms. Backtrace is still just as unhelpful.

This works for me with 2.0.44 or 2.0.47 on HP-UX 11i.

Somebody that can duplicate the problem is going to have to do some in-depth
debugging to see what causes the crash. I suspect that it caused by a problem
with the system environment (e.g., compiler bug).

No further response; assuming issue resolved. Feel free to reopen the report, if
the problem still persists (in a recent version of apache).
