Ok, the original poster messed up by reporting two different problems in the
same bug report, one wich was a simple matter of RTFM. The second problem
however, is real.

If you have a apache config with no ServerName set (for example a stock redhat
apache installation) you get the confusing error message "Invalid virtual host
name". This needs to be fixed (if apache can figure out a reasonable default
value for the hostname, so should mod_webapp) or at the very least, the error
message should be a bit more informative. Perhaps, 'for now, mod_webapp needs to
have the ServerName directive set correctly'

I removed the "AddModule mod_webapp.c" and that problem went away. The
second problem still remains. If this is not the proper place to post this
problem regarding mod_webapp, please let me know which list I should
contact.

Thank you,

You -Added- it after you -Loaded- it; redundant [and harmful.]

If you look at the other modules, you will notice an intervening ClearModuleList
after all of the LoadModule directives, followed by a list of AddModule
directives.
In that case, you must readd the modules after clearing the list of actives.
