reading the package readme for your browser helps, I think they include
fixes for your exact issue.

/usr/local/share/doc/pkg-readmes/{yourbrowser}

For starters, try it with xcompmgr running if you aren't using a WM with
a built-in compositor. (If you aren't sure, try it anyway, it will just
print "Another composite manager is already running" if that's the case).
