Sadly, this did not solve the problem, using the kernel snapshot from January 
14, 2013.

Hi Jonathan, thank you for reporting this.

Could you try with a -current snapshot and tell me if the problem is
still present? I fixed a bug touching some audio drivers in macppc one
month ago.
