*Job Description: * *Responsibilities:* 1.Essbase Related tickets (User access, Essbase filter, Groups, Performance issues) 2.Troubleshooting Essbase add-in/Smartview issues 3.Autosys jobs supervision and take care of job failures related to Essbase or on database(RDBMS/DB2) side 4.Preparing QA environments by backing up production metadata and Data 5.Resolves and Update Hyperion Financial Reports/Interactive Reports 6.HFM data load and run consolidation 7.HFM data extract 8.HFM security Group requests 9.Managing and assigning security classes to Groups using Hyperion Shared Services 10.Handling other production issues like server hanging, server outage and data(reconciliation) issues 11.Writing MDX formulas in Essbase 12.Writing Unix shell scripts for automation 13.Interact with users for follow up or to update and understand the issue 14.Maintaining status report of the project Requirements: •1-3+ years of IT experience in Advanced Analytical Software Application, Development in Hyperion, as well as Business Analysis, Requirement Gathering, Testing and Database Administration of OLAP and Client/Server projects using industry accepted methodology. •Strong Technical and Functional experience in OLAP Designing, Administration, Development, Reporting and Migration of one or more of financial applications using Hyperion Essbase, Essbase Integration Services (EIS), Shared Services, Hyperion System 9 BI+, Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Business Rule, Hyperion Financial Reporting, Hyperion Reports, Hyperion Analyzer, Hyperion Workspace, Hyperion Application link(HAL), ESSCMD, etc. •Expertise in installation and configuration of Hyperion products such as Essbase, Planning, Analyzer and Reports on both Windows and UNIX environments and maintain security through Shared Services. •Expert in creating Business Rules, Web Forms and maintenance of Metadata using Hyperion Planning. •Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting Systems and Decision Support System (DSS) using Hyperion Planning and developed financial Budgeting and Forecasting of OLAP applications. •Strong experience in analyzing, designing, updating, testing and migrating Essbase Cubes in different environments and also proficient in performance tuning and optimization of Essbase applications. •Expert in building Dimensions, Attributes, Shared Member using Rule Files in an outline by means of several build methods such as Generation, Level and Parent-Child references. •Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in the Hyperion Essbase environment. •Proficient in Testing, having good experience in both Manual Testing and Automation Testing using various testing tools.
