[BVARC] Kenwood TS 850S

Greetings all,

 I have acquired a Kenwood TS 850S transceiver I would like to pass it on as 
parts or possibly you repaired and made new to find more DX.

 

This was a high-end rig in it’s day. All solid state. surface mount.   

 

160 through 10 meters 100 watts all mode.

 

I have a full set of documents including a service manual.

 

I think the problem is a shorted cap across the 5v supply.  The 7v supply which 
supplies the display is good.

It was great meeting you in person and to meet your Wife. Wish we could have

Likewise.  My wife went to be with the Lord about 15 years ago but l would
enjoy visiting more with you and meeting your wife.
