Well, I’m near Uvalde dove hunting and for us it was a non event. It was

I worked POTA at the Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge on 17 meters during the
eclipse and had lots of contacts.

Was I doing something wrong?
Did the eclipse screw everything up?

[BVARC] Solar Eclipse QSO Party

2017-08-21 Thread Jeffery MacMillian via BVARC
This was an amazing event. Close to Field days level of activity. There
were people all over 20m in all modes. Wall to wall contacts to be made. I
was so busy I didn't want to change bands... :)

The next one will be in 2024... I should have a nice antenna by then... :)

Band Mode QSOs Pts Grd Pt/Q
14 CW 5 53 1.0
14 PSK3 5 53 1.0
14 RTTY10 101 1.0
14 USB277 277 114 1.0
 Total Both 297 297 121 1.0

Score: 35,937
1 Mult = 2.5 Q's

Some Great Runs:

2017-08-21 1727 - 2007Z, 14280 kHz, 142 Qs, 53.0/hr KG5LRP
