Encrypting Uploads

2014-03-29 Thread Ali Haris
I am working on an application which requires the uploaded files to be
encrypted. The file should be decrypted while viewing inside the
application.

How do I achieve this with CakePHP? I know there are some security and
encryption functions available in CakePHP. However I have no prior
experience in encrypting files. Therefore my question may sound a bit
stupid.

Any how, Do I have to read the contents of the files and encrypt it using
the encryption methods available in CakePHP and write the encrypted
contents to the file and store it in the sever?

Any practical methods and suggestions are appreciated.

CakePHP console and ACL issue.

2008-04-15 Thread Haris

Hello,

The console absolute paths doesn't work for me. The console is
documented poorly probably because it's still in beta. Anyways, I want
to create database tables for ACL.

Can someone please help me and provide me the structure of ACL tables
in SQL format (.sql file) which I can import to my database.

Thanks,
Haris

SVN based comments

2008-04-15 Thread Haris

How can I build SVN based comments that'll fetch SVN details from the
repository(or .svn files) and append them to the updated files/file.
This is similar to what CakePHP developers do.

*/
 * @filesource

Re: Editing paginator URL

2008-03-27 Thread Haris

I had tried searching and found none that had similar issue. I want to
append parameters to the URL.

Re: looking for a hosting company

In your own case, I would recommend you to stay away from dreamhost
aka nightmarehost.

Thanks for all the recommendations, looks like the company I'm doing

I can't recommend bluehost, you'll run into performance problems quite
quickly I think, unless you have a very simple app. I used to have a
(vbulletin) forum there and I was suspended a few times because of
performance issues. I've heard good things about mediatemple but am
using a futurehosting.biz vps right now which is all right.

If you have any sort of sysadmin-fu, I recommend getting a VPS as
well. I'm on slicehost and have had ZERO problems since switching to
them about 5 months ago.
